Membership has its benefits!

The 2010 / 2011 membership invoices are being sent to the main contact person at existing member institutions. Membership allows submissions to the National student awards, eligibility for faculty diversity awards, and all the sharing and great advice from Broadcast educators coast-to-coast.

Distinguished Service Awards

The BEAC John Ansell Distinguished Service Award

John AnsellThis award is given to a BEAC member who has dedicated significant time and effort to the furtherance of the BEAC mandate. A meeting of the Board of Directors of the BEAC is held prior to the conference, where nominations are presented and discussed. The results are kept secret until presentations are made at the conference.

 

The BEAC Michael Monty Distinguished Service Award

Michael MontyThis award is given to a long-standing BEAC member, who may or may not have held a board position, who has:

  • Displayed an ongoing passion about teaching
  • Been a strong supporter of student achievement
  • Worked hard to connect students and their school to meet industry needs

All nominations must be accompanied by a paragraph of 100 words or less, detailing why this person deserves the award. Consideration will be given to those best meeting the above criteria.
