BEAC National Conference 2010
Broadcast Media Education continues changing; from creation to consumer across multiple platforms, broadcast, film, new media, news, and production applications; our conference will focus on our role in the education of our emerging talent of content creators and broadcast/media recruits. We will discuss and examine the intersection of creativity, technology, business and media education with the profusion of immediate access. From the dizziness of gathering and regurgitating material for multi platforms, to social media/twitter, MoJo’s (mobile-journalists with cell phones) to the arrival of 3D television. We need to know about it to teach it!
Our sessions this year will emphasis education-oriented insight, advice, and solutions in Broadcast Media Education.
NEW THIS YEAR: At the conclusion of our BEAC Conference, you may choose to continue your professional development and networking opportunities with your peers and contacts at the RTNDA Central Conference from May 14-15 at the same hotel. Background
Professional Development Conferences are held yearly, alternating locations from West, to Central, to East to accommodate members.
These annual gatherings provide members with an opportunity of catching up on the latest media technologies, processes, and instructional developments. As well, the conferences provide an opportunity for broadcast educators to share experiences and knowledge in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
